Time to take action (page26)

“Invite your local MP, or a member of the Lords, to speak to your group about their work and answer any questions you have. Below are some steps to plan for a visit.”

Members of Parliament in both Houses represent the views of the public in UK Parliament, this includes the views of you and your group. Connecting in person or in writing during UK Parliament Week can have a big impact on young people.

In response to the above call for action, we invited Dr Rupa Huq, our local MP covering the areas of Acton and Ealing to address our school Assembly. She presented her work as an MP and explained the role of The House of Commons and the House of Lords. It was a highly interactive session and our pupils participated enthusiastically with a variety of questions and some challenging observations!

We are planning to visit the Parliament in late March!!!

ΣΤΟΝ ΠΑΡΑΚΑΤΩ ΣΥΝΔΕΣΜΟ ΒΡΙΣΚΕΤΑΙ ΤΟ ΥΛΙΚΟ ΠΟΥ ΜΑΣ ΕΣΤΕΙΛΑΝ AΠO TO ΒΡΕΤΑΝΙΚΟ ΚΟΙΝΟΒΟΥΛΕΙΟ ΟΙ ΥΠΕΥΘΥΝΟΙ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ PARLIAMENT WEEK

Οι εκπαιδευτικοί των τάξεων μαζί με τους μαθητές των τάξεων Δ΄, Ε΄& Στ΄, επεξεργάστηκαν το υλικό, συζήτησαν με τους μαθητές, συμμετείχαν σε δράσεις, επεξεργάστηκαν κείμενα, διατύπωσα απόψεις και κατέγραψαν ομοιότητες και διαφορές μεταξύ του Βρετανικού και του Ελληνικού κοινοβουλείου.

Τα μαθήματα έγιναν στα Ελληνικά και στα Αγγλικά.
